Financial middleware digitizing the construction project lifecycle from quote to settlement, with milestone-based escrow and idempotent payment processing.
Handshake deals and manual invoicing left both sides exposed: homeowners had no guarantee work matched what they paid for, and contractors had no guarantee they'd get paid once the work was done.
The Solution We built secure financial infrastructure for the full project lifecycle:
- Milestone-Based Escrow: Stripe Connect orchestration releases funds programmatically only upon milestone completion.
- Evidence-Backed Dispute Resolution: an immutable activity ledger with cryptographic uploads of site media settles disagreements on facts.
- Idempotent Payment Processing: idempotency keys and a deterministic payment state machine (DRAFT → SUBMITTED → APPROVED → PROCESSING → PAID → FAILED) eliminate duplicate charges and ambiguous payment states.
The result: milestone-triggered fund release, absolute payment certainty, and 15% of revenue recovered from previously silent payment failures.
